Add full FTP capability to your Windows Explorer!

6. Using drag and drop (copy and paste) to transfer files See online demo

Files and folders can be copied to (or retrieved from) the FTP server by dragging and dropping them.

Downloading a file. Navigate to the folder on the FTP server which holds files and/or folders you wish to download. Select one or more files or folders. Click on the selection and with the mouse button held down, drag the selection to its new location. The new location should be your local folder already opened in another Explorer window. The default for dragged files is to be copied. You can change the default behaviour by holding the Control or Shift key down.

If you use the right mouse button to drag and drop, when you release the button a menu similar to the following appears asking if you want to move or copy.

Uploading a file. Uploading is similar to downloading. Select files and/or folders on your hard disk and drag them to the folder on the FTP server.

Using copy and paste methods. Right-click on the file (or folder) you want to copy, and select 'Copy' from the contextual menu. Move your mouse to the place you want to copy to and again click the right moluse button and select 'Paste'.
